Inslee's government has decided that WA schools should teach "comprehensive sex education."

Editorial - Primary Education

Inslee’s government on the state level has decided that schools throughout Washington should teach “comprehensive sex education.” Fortunately, Inslee is not yet able to mandate the curriculum; school districts currently retain the authority to determine whether or not to adopt Inslee’s sex curriculum.

Fundamental to this new curriculum is an underlying belief that children are not “too young” for sexually explicit material. This curriculum presupposes that children must be exposed to what Christians consider inappropriate content. The notion that childhood innocence is valuable and must be protected is treated by the curriculum as sinister and unscientific.

It appears that, in order to be safe from sexual assault or disease, children must learn exactly what another child’s vagina looks like. They must be able to differentiate between an uncircumcised (“intact”) and a circumcised penis. This begins in kindergarten and MUST BE AVOIDED.

By sixth grade, the Sexual Education curriculum instructs the pupil on how to treat the morality of their family. The directives issued to the student include role playing questions of morality and “sin.” The homework also includes a standard by which to critique “religious” sexual education.

The current sex education curriculum is set to “expire,” leaving the path open for implementation of this newer, lewder syllabus. It comes down to the individual school boards. Will they refuse Inslee’s dictates, or will they protect innocence?

Stop Comprehensive Sexual Education

People who send their kids to public school want to know if a candidate will stand against this egregious curriculum, or will they “flow with.” Jared Bower with the Rain Shadow Report investigated:

The Question:

“Good afternoon. My name is Jared Bower. I am the senior editor at a small publication called ‘The Rain Shadow Report.’ My publication is pro-Christian and anti-Marxist.

I am putting together an article on the Yakima School Board, the election of those representatives who are seeking reelection, and those who hope to replace them. To that end, I have a question. Did you vote in favor of referendum 90, and do you support the sex ed. curriculum that is being rolled out in Yakima? Please respond at your earliest convenience.”

The Response:

“We [the West Valley School Board] are not adopting new curriculum in this area based on this law. Also, parents have always had the opportunity to opt out of sex ed curriculum.”
